Message from PTWPKL President
Welcome to the official website of Persatuan Taekwon-Do Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (GTF), (PTWPKL). We officially launched this website on 8 March, 2009 in tandem with our PTWPKL Annual Dinner 2009. The launch was complimented with the presence of the Department of Youth & Sports of Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur’s (Jabatan Belia & Sukan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur), JBS WPKL.
The main objective of this website is to build an interactive platform for all martial artistes around the world. In addition, it serves as a portal for everyone to keep abreast of our association’s activities. It also acts as an information platform for our members, to keep track of our recent activities, events, announcements, photos, opinions and feedback.
I am honoured to announce that our association PTWPKL has also clinched the 1st place of the “Anugerah Sukan Untuk Semua 2011 (ASUS ) award as presented by the director of Youth & Sports from Ministry of Youth & Sport (KBS) this year. This award is a strong recognition by the government to individuals and organizations that have contributed outstandingly in the development of Sports in the country. The credit goes to all committee and ordinary members of our association.
With the ever-changing lifestyle of demanding working environment, many members have left or given up Taekwon-Do. Here I strongly encourage members to come back for regular training, keep abreast with our developments, and if time permits, volunteer and join our activities.
As part of our aim to achieve our vision and mission, we look forward for any individual, group, academy and etc., to join us towards attaining greater success, and ultimately, promote this martial art to a wider community.
Lastly, we welcome any comments and opinions from anyone of you on this website for further improvement and betterment.
